LA CAFFETTERIA DEL MONASTERO welcomes you for any occasion.
Breakfast, lunch, tea or an aperitif: our bistro adapts to the mood and rhythm of each day, with a lazy view of the landscape and the calm gliding of the seagulls.
THE HISTORY OF IL MONASTEROThe terraces
The two large garden terraces, surrounded by prickly pears, brooms, jasmine and lantana, welcome guests who wish to enjoy the view: the ruins of the Cathedral of the Assumption, the bay of Sant'Anna, Ischia Ponte, the Campania coast.
The pergola
During the sunniest hours, take shelter under the cool, bougainvillea-covered pergola, between the low, hand-decorated majolica tables and the long stone bench.
Lunch

The vegetable garden: always a source of livelihood for the monastery
Most of the vegetables that we use are cultivated by our farmers within the Castle walls, inside the hortus conclusus of the convent, a space which has always been protected from the wind and indiscreet eyes. This has been the primary source of nourishment for the Poor Clare nuns for over five hundreds years.
